It is a story of a girl called Swantje who was born and raised in an isolated castle from a human village. Her father figure, the wise fox, Klaus is protective about her interacting with human beings. However, out of curiosity, Swantje escapes the castle and stumbles into human world without foreseeing a tragic consequences.
